SSEAS testimonial Peter Bisschop

The study of South and Southeast Asia at Leiden University can boast of a long tradition. The chair of Sanskrit that I hold has been around for 150 years, having been first occupied by the famous Dutch scholar Hendrik Kern. With this long tradition come extensive library collections and a strong international position. Studying South and Southeast Asian Studies at Leiden University means becoming part of a venerable and dynamic tradition of students and scholars.
