University Sport Centre (USC)

The USC is more than just sport and action. It’s the mix of sociability, fitness, strength, dance, sports and games that gets you working out every week. With no less than 45 different sports and 10.000 m2 of sports fun on offer, there is a unique opportunity to find out what you enjoy and to achieve your sports goals. We have available: dance, fitness, several team sports, body & mind, a variety of defence sports and a large number of group classes. There is something for everyone! We can also help if you are dealing with an injury or are interested in dietary advice.

Sport and sport clubs

If you already prefer a specific sport. Leiden University students are actively involved in specific sports and have established sports clubs which are only open to students, independently from the Sports Centre. They often work together with and use the training facilities of the University Sports Centre. For almost every sport there is an association. That could be SKC, the volleyball association. Or LSD, which stands for Leidse Studenten Duikvereniging, the diving association. The outdoor watersport associations, which today are independent from the Sports Centre, have a beautiful new building on the waterfront of the Dwarwetering in Leiderdorp. An ideal location! Student sport associations organize parties, sports weekends, cocktail nights and other fun activities.
